The Magnify Expansion Kit (Optimized for FFPE Tissues) provides researchers with an easy-to-use solution for achieving nanoscale imaging resolution on conventional microscopes using formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections (optimized for < 5 µm thick sections). This kit contains reagents sufficient for five reactions. Leveraging advanced hydrogel chemistry specifically adapted for the challenges of FFPE samples, including formaldehyde-induced crosslinks, the kit facilitates isotropic physical expansion, typically up to 8-11 folds, allowing detailed 3D visualization of subcellular structures and molecular components. Notably, the Magnify process is designed to preserve proteins and other biomolecules, even supporting post-expansion immunostaining, which is often difficult with FFPE material. The kit includes optimized protocols for FFPE, covering deparaffinization and tissue-specific homogenization steps (e.g., distinct times/temperatures recommended for different FFPE tissue types), though user optimization may sometimes be beneficial.
